Piranha 2010 Tamil Dubbed Movie 25: The Most Shocking and Hilarious Movie of the Year

Piranha 3D was theatrically released in the United States on August 30, 2010, by Dimension Films. The film received generally positive reviews, with film critics praising it as a fun and entertaining B-movie. It was a box office success, grossing over $83 million worldwide against a $24 million budget. A sequel, Piranha 3DD, was released in 2012 to critical and commercial failure.

As spring break begins, Jake Forester reunites with his old crush Kelly and meets her arrogant boyfriend, Todd Dupree. Jake meets Derrick Jones, a sleazy pornographer as well as Danni, one of his actresses. Derrick convinces Jake to show him good spots on the lake for filming a pornographic movie. Jake's mother, Sheriff Julie Forester, searches for the missing Matt Boyd with Deputy Fallon. They find his mutilated body and contemplate closing the lake. However, this decision is made difficult with thousands of partying college students on spring break, which is important for bringing revenue to the small town. The next morning, a lone cliff diver is attacked and devoured by the piranhas.

Eight years after the film's release, Aja spoke of post-production disputes that occurred while finishing the film. He claimed that Dimension found effects artist that were much cheaper than the ones they had currently employed, this included artists who never did conversion work before. By June 2010, not a single piranha was completed for the film, leading to Aja reaching out to the Directors Guild of America to remove his name from the credits out of frustration. Bob Weinstein caught wind of this and fired all the artists and instead hired every VFX vendor available to finish the film. On top of this, executive producer Harvey Weinstein supposedly hated the film, expecting it to be more in line with Jaws, instead of "Jaws Gone Wild" as Aja put it.[28]

Piranha 3D's theatrical release date had been set for April 16, 2010, but was delayed.[29] The film was planned to premiere on August 27, 2010,[30][31] but in June 2010 was moved to August 20, 2010.[32] The film's first trailer debuted with Avatar. A second trailer was shown in prints of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Inception. It was set to have a panel on 24 July 2010 as part of the San Diego Comic-Con International but was cancelled after convention organizers decided the footage that was planned to be shown was not appropriate.[33] Nine minutes of footage, with some unfinished effects, were leaked onto websites. The clip used in promotional television ads and the trailer that shows Jessica Szohr's character, Kelly, face to face with a pack of piranhas was not used in the movie, and was used for promotion only.

In reality, many species are opportunistic scavengers, waiting for animals to die before feeding. They are also omnivorous, eating a wide variety of food, including algae. Still, ever since Piranha (1978), the species has been given the killer animal treatment like Great White Sharks from Jaws. Many films featuring piranhas are B-movies that have decent effects and a mixed bag between great to mediocre actors and set pieces. Most of these films are just the spectacle of witnessing a piranha attack.

The first remake of the 1978 classic Piranha uses footage from that film in most scenes with the fish. The remake was made for TV instead of theaters and follows a similar plotline to the original, with the incident being resolved in a similar way after a catastrophic attack. Unlike the first film or the 3D remake afterwards, these were not genetic mutants or hungry prehistoric monsters, they were just typical movie piranha.

The best of the worst films for sure, Piranha 3DD is a direct sequel to the 2010 Piranha 3D film where prehistoric piranhas infest a waterpark. Featuring David Hasselhouf and some returning actors from the previous film. The film is considered a dark horror comedy with characters being hilariously stupid while there are mild moments of bloodshed while characters react to the carnage with mild interest.

The sequel to the original 1978 Piranha, the film features genetically engineered piranhas with wing fins that can fly around and attack people. The only mention of the previous film was when some characters look through photos of the attack while expositing the plot. This movie is the most notable for being the directorial debut of James Cameron, who will go on to direct Terminator, Aliens, and The Abyss.

You see, the movie is a big takedown of American culture, both the straight-laced, puritanical hearts and our equally dangerous propensity to over-indulge to the point of wild excess. (One of the barges in the movie is filled with Christian fundamentalists telling the revelers that they're going to hell; the bible-thumpers get chomped on too.) The fact that Spring Break is a singularly American concept seems to endlessly fascinate Aja, with the fish coming from deep within the earth feeling less like a fluke of nature than some kind of biblical retribution. As you can tell, I've thought long and hard about 'Piranha.' Probably too long and too hard. But I think it's a movie that deserves to be dissected and analyzed; it's that smart and clever and knowing. It's a real shame that the movie didn't do better business when it was released last summer. It was the perfect, down-and-dirty anecdote to all the bloated studio mush that was being hoisted on us week in, week out. An even bigger shame, though, is the fact that the studio, Dimension, rushed to capitalize on what little momentum the first film had by rushing a sequel into development without Aja and his collaborators. They probably found the director, a horror auteur as far as I'm concerned, too prickly and perfectionist, which is a terrible loss. Throughout the special features on this disc, the filmmaker talks about what would happen in the sequel, including his desire to see it set at the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan, Thailand. When a director openly states his desire to see Christopher Lloyd electrocute piranhas as a nod to 'Back to the Future' for the sequel, and you don't give him that sequel, then you deserve to be gobbled up by razor-toothed fish too. 2ff7e9595c
